Beyond demonstrating the commitment to earn the rank itself, surveys show that Eagle Scouts are more successful and more engaged in the world than non-scouts.
According to a Baylor University study, Eagle Scouts are 55% more likely to hold a workplace leadership role than a non-scout. Eagle Scouts are goal oriented, being 64% more likely to achieve their personal goals, 29% more likely to achieve their professional goals, and 49% more likely to achieve their financial goals. Eagle Scouts are 52% more likely to try exceeding expectations, 40% more likely to word hard to get ahead, and 47% more likely to try doing the right thing. Eagle Scouts are 80% more likely to continue their education, and 73% more likely to vote in a Presidential election.
